Merlin; The Boy That Never Existed
58Once upon a time there was a little boy. For all intensive purposes, we will call him Merlin, simply for the reason he was blessed with a gift. Of course the young boy had not known about his gift because he was forced to live and exist in the world we are all too familiar with today.
Being thrust upon this world, he had no chance but to accept his fate and live as a human being.
Throughout the boys' youth, he was continually shown how cold and cruel this world truly was. The selfish people, the lying, cheating, sadness, depression, guilt, anxiety, resentment, irration and envy; all results of secondary human reactions to anger and fear.
Merlin found it very hard to connect to the people that have done these horrible things on a day-to-day basis, and found himself day-dreaming about what "could be." He knew there was so much more to life, and could feel it in every being of his body.
Although the world was cruel, merdin didn't give up. He found out early in life the balance between good and bad. He may have disliked his situation immensely, but knew there must be other reasons why he was here on earth in the first place.
It didn't take him long to realize he was here to help his fellow man, brothers and sisters, through the trials and tribulations, the negative feelings and people that he had already experienced and survived through when he was younger. Although the problems he couldn't understand, he knew how to deal with them and spread his knowledge to his close associates and aquaintainces.
Going through such experiences forced Merlin to grow up much faster than any one of his peers. this fact alone made it even harder for the young boy to blend in and lead a "normal life" like all of his friends.
As the boy slowly aged, his gift started showing itself to him in many ways. He recognized the strange instances and coincidences, but never knew what they meant or if they were even siginificant at all. There was no reason for Merlin to believe so, because these things were never taught to him. Fortunately, Merlin was very smart and presented his gift in other ways.
He couls see the good things coming from people when he took the time to listen to what each one had to say. He felt that just talking to people and bieng there for them when they needed him was the best thing he could do. Especially since no one was there to listen to him.
For years, the boy went unnoticed. Gleaming with the thought that one day the world would recognize his love and light.
Nothing happened. No one cared.

Great, brand new and deep hub itsb07
Maybe Merlin will always be unnoticed, but i can tell u some, he'll be more happy that we can imagine. The Joy will always be with him.
We all have dream of grandeur, and feel sad when we realize that they won't came true.
When I feel that way I try to imagine How many people feeling the same. Maybe the problem is inside us.
We want the life to be some way and we should know that maybe it is not. But we suffer anyway.
Maybe we should dream less and to enjoy more the moment. We should enjoy all the great surprises that life bring to us second by second.
Cheers
Nice hub and quite thought provoking...
nice
You have such talent Brandon! Your writing is an open door to your soul... Surprised?
Awsome piece of writing mate!!!
Nice Piece. You show your feelings quite well. Perhaps Merlin is a tortured old soul who has lived many lifetimes seeking his true place in the world today. He became a good listener to others because no one would listen to him with the hope that maybe... someday as he listens to someone, that certain someone will turn to Merlin and hear what he has to say. Someone does care but Merlin just doesn't see it yet. In time he will,in time... when he least expects,he will find it within himself.
beautiful work

This is so sad .... and so real. People do not notice or care - just because they are so stressed out themselves and have shut others out.
