Looking Fear in the Eyes

I looked Fear in the eyes today. I didn't give in; not even a twitch. I stood my ground and stuck to my story, althogh at that very moment I hadn't realized just how guilty I was. They tore me down, piece by piece, and each of us one by one. No matter how far they went, I never fave in.

Once they had me exactly where they wanted me, my stomach flipped. The guilt I was so blatently unaware of presented itself in a timely fashion. They were getting serious now.

As I sat in the element of power, how exactly did I feel?

Physically, I felt compressed by their unrelenting nerve to create fear, anxiety, confusion, and chaos. The more they pushed, the more I Thought. That was their first mistake. To me, it is very comical to try and watch someone out-smart me. (And it is not like I think this ALL the time either, so don't get that sort of impression about me. I would only reveal that in writing just so you can better understand the experience.) Don't they know I'm on top of my game? Well, I would guess not since I have won this round.

I know I can't count on winning every time; but in the same aspect, I have something else to count on any time I need. My mentality.

Emotionally, I felt an overpowering feeling of saftey. Being placed in the high element of power made me feel like nothing could happen to me. Unless of course the power turned against me, which was a rapidly growing and dangerous possibility.

The power of safety helped me think rationally and I was ready for that final test. I used every power I could think of. The powers, tips and secrets I have researched for so long now seemed to fit in like a puzzle. I knew I had the upper hand in this game. It was time to put my Poker Face on; being extremely ironic because it seems that the feelings we put into "Poker Face"(Lady Gaga) was exactly what brought the element of power in direct contact to our ever-continuing life paths.

I collected the element of power directly from the source itself. To help you feel the intensity of the situation, I will give you a metaphoric example. Imagine a metal detector over a pile of sand, and within this pile lies a small metal ball bearing just waiting to be discovered. But the metal plate residing inside of your head (metaphoric/hypathetic scenario =]) interferes with the electronic frequencies of the detector. Not deceiving it, but pushing it away from the direction being looked for. If you don't give someone direction, they will have No where to go.

By interfering with the mixed signals, and sending an overload of message units, I was able to completely overcome this power and unprecedented game. I am eternally grateful from this "God"-like miracle and most importantly, I am forever grateful for everything I learned as a result.

It is always nice to know who your true friends are. Thanks J, this is all for you.

I'm not sure I understood your scenario, probably because I'm about 40 years older than you, but what you wrote was quite intense and thought provoking.

Just a few spelling errors I noticed (I'm a writing tutor, haha):

blatently = blatantly

saftey = safety

I really enjoyed reading this--thought-provoking and well-written. You're crazy-smart, btw. =)

Great concepts that I love here - the power of safety, and interfering with mixed signals in order to overcome. And gratitude. The ability to give gratitude to someone greater.

Great writing.

I loved this piece 'B' ! Your words are so very well chosen. A piece comes together so smoothly when you are writing from the heart, doesn't it? Well written!

Thought provoking. I was waiting for thunderbolts to fly. Or a resounding chorus from a well muscled cartoon character, "I Have The Power!" -Trig
